Every trip, dinner, flat share and office party ends the same way. One person paid for the cab, someone else got the groceries, a third covered the tickets, and a week later there's a WhatsApp thread full of "I think I paid for that?" Ezysplit exists to end that thread.
What it does
- You type the event name and the people in it. No accounts, no app, no inviting anyone.
- You enter each bill: what it was, how much, who paid, and anyone who should be left out of that one.
- It works out the fewest payments that settle everything, and shows who pays whom.
- You share one link. Everyone sees the same numbers and can add bills as they go.
- If you sign in, you can pick which name is you and see just your balance across all your splits.
What it doesn't do
Ezysplit never touches money. It doesn't connect to your bank or UPI, and it doesn't take a cut. You settle up however you like: cash, a transfer, or buying the next round. We just make the number clear.
Principles
- Free. Ezysplit is supported by a small amount of advertising, not by charging the people who use it.
- Fast to start. You should have a working split in under a minute, on your phone, without installing anything.
- Private by default. Names, amounts and emails are stored encrypted. Splits are visible only to people with the link. We don't sell data.
- Honest maths. Equal shares with optional exclusions, and a settlement algorithm that minimises the number of transfers. The guide on settlement explains exactly how it works.
Who makes it
Ezysplit is built and run by Webster Solutions, a small software studio in India. We use it ourselves for team lunches, which is where most of the feature ideas come from. Suggestions are welcome via the contact page.
